Create More Homes That Families Can Afford
Too many Californians are struggling to pay the rent. Fighting for housing affordability has been the focus of my entire career. I’ve been involved in housing policy at both the State and local level. I worked for two years with the California Department of Housing and Community Development, and I served as the Director of Policy at the San Diego Housing Commission. As the Executive Director of Circulate San Diego, I have led one of the region’s leading organizations that advocates for transportation and affordable homes. If elected, I will push for reforms that will create more homes that families can afford.
As a member of the San Diego Community Power board, I voted this year to reduce electrical rates by more than 10 percent. We need to invest in renewable energies so we can fight climate change, while maintaining stability and lowering prices for ratepayers.
ABOUT COLIN
Colin was born and raised in San Diego County. He became Eagle Scout with Troop 362 in El Cajon, where he developed a dedication to community, teamwork, and service to others. This dedication eventually led to Colin running successfully for the La Mesa City Council in 2016, and again in 2020. Colin wears multiple hats, including his position as the Executive Director of Circulate San Diego, a nonprofit committed to public transit, walkable and safe neighborhoods, and affordable homes. Colin co-founded the San Diego Leadership Alliance and served as a board member of the League of Conservation Voters San Diego.
